Mideast Youth steunt jongeren en minderheden

MidEast Youth is een digitaal platform dat een stem geeft aan progressieve krachten in het Midden-Oosten en Noord-Afrika.

Met een focus op jeugd en de positie van minderheden, komt MidEast Youth op voor democratie, mensenrechten en de vrijheid van meningsuiting. De website publiceert het Engels, Arabisch en Farsi en ondersteunt grassroot acties in de regio.

MidEast Youth is in mei 2006 vanuit Bahrain gestart door Esra’a Al Shafei , een pionier in het gebruik van digitale media. Esra’a:

“My primary project is MideastYouth.com. This platform was the wellspring for all of our other projects and inspired many important inter-ethnic and interfaith discussions about a wide variety of issues, controversial and otherwise. Many voices have been included regardless of faith, political opinions, or socioeconomic class.”
